Immersion Chiller
The image inside the red box is a used chiller
that I picked up from the guy who fixed up my kettle.
It ain't pretty, but it does the job.
The rest of the picture is the whole setup during the
process of chilling. I've got a coil of 10 feet of tubing sitting in
ice water to act as a pre-chiller. It chills it a little bit.
It chills the wort down from boiling to under 90
degF in less than 15 minutes, if the tap water is nice and cold.
The flowrate of the cooling water is about 1 gpm.
